Zines in Idaho libraries?

Does your library have a zine collection or host workshops on zines? Zine is short for magazines and the name's brevity also implies some content. Zines are shorter than magazines, and more personal.

Idaho Child Care Reads

Idaho Child Care Reads

The Idaho Child Care Reads program helps public libraries enhance services for child care providers and the children and families that they work with. Applications from public libraries interested in the program are accepted throughout the year and will be granted as funding allows.

The program has the following goals:

Every Child Ready to Read

Every Child Ready to Read

Every Child Ready to Read Family Workshops is a six week program that involves young children and their parents in learning about the six early literacy skills that help prepare children to be successful in school.

Continuing Education

Through continuing education opportunities, the Idaho Commission for Libraries assists Idaho libraries in building capacity to better serve their clientele. Blended learning opportunities are available to Idaho's public and school library staff who do not have formal library education, with the intent of developing specialized skills and awareness of current and evolving library practices.
